The homepage or main starting point for the Order/Inventory Management System is located at the following URL: http://dprod4.clemson.edu/br
You will be prompted to LOGIN; once you have done that, it will take you to the Order Management screen.
You can navigate to the Inventory Management screen and Web Ordering screens by clicking on the tabs at the top right of the screen.
Order Management
From the order management screen, you can display PENDING orders by clicking the Check Orders button; or you can type in a search pattern, date, order no, etc…in the search box to find orders.
By clicking the PRINT orders button, the status will change for all PENDING orders to a status of OK which means that they have been or are being processed.
Inventory Management
From the inventory management screen, you can display and edit the publications. By clicking on the Title, it will open up the edit screen so that you can update or add new publications. The search box accepts various form of patterns including words, dates, pub codes, etc…and the results will be displayed based upon the search criteria.
Web Ordering
This is the web systems (OLOS) by which orders are placed by the customer. There is an added feature so that the BR staff can place OVER-the-COUNTER orders from this system. Simply add items to the shopping cart as you would with a credit card order. In the delivery method section, an additional method is displayed for Over the Counter orders. Select this, then Checkout.
International Orders
International orders are recognized when a country is specified that IS NOT the
United States. The customer specifies the country on the checkout form via a
dropdown list box.
A $10.00 shipping and handling fee will be charged for all international orders. This fee is in addition to the order total and regular shipping charges.
Additional international charges can also be specified for individual items. This fee can be specified on the Inventory Item editor.
Security
A security feature of this system is the user Id timeout. You user Id will remain “logged in” for about 20-30 minutes. After that, you will have to login again. The time can be increased if desired.
